Build With Me is a public directory of builders and enablers looking for their missing partner. Every card leads with an ask — capital, distribution or expertise — and contact happens off-platform. There are no accounts, no inbox and no in-app messaging, which is the whole point: the product is the directory, not another network to maintain a profile on.
It runs as a server-rendered Astro app on Cloudflare Workers with Turso (libSQL) behind it, vanilla JS and CSS on the front, and self-hosted fonts. No client framework.
Contributions
- Designed and built the product end to end — directory, filtering, profile creation, moderation and the public pages around them.
- Built the anti-abuse and quality gate: a completeness meter on submission, flag dedupe, and moderation thresholds that hide a profile once enough reports land.
- Wrote a daily cron job on Workers to archive and expire stale records, with its own test suite running against back-dated fixtures.
- Generated Open Graph images at the edge with satori and resvg, and built the country flag sprite from the data in the database.
- Shipped test suites for the quality gate, moderation thresholds, cron and edge behaviour, plus migration, backup and smoke-test scripts.
