Adenike Adedokun is a brand designer in Lagos — identity, event worlds and campaign systems, for Wetech, Interswitch and FMDQ. The brief was a portfolio that could carry that work at its own scale: a conference archway, a thirty-page impact report and a WhatsApp-sized flyer all sit on the same page and still have to read as one thing. I designed and built it.
It is a Vite and React site with no client-side framework overhead at the edges: every route is prerendered to its own static HTML file carrying its own <head>, so there is deliberately no catch-all SPA rewrite to shadow them.
Contributions
- Designed and built the site end to end — home, case studies, archive and contact — around a twelve-column grid where tile spans are chosen so every row fills exactly.
- Replaced the looping hero video with a scroll-scrubbed cut-out film, driven from a frame sequence rather than a video element.
- Built the asset pipeline as scripts: images, fonts, icons, video, PDF page extraction for the report spreads, and per-route Open Graph cards rendered on canvas.
- Prerendered every route from the SSR bundle, writing
sitemap.xml,robots.txtand anoindex404 alongside, with a static-check script that verifies the output before deploy. - Tuned cache policy per asset class on Vercel — immutable for content-hashed bundles and fonts, stale-while-revalidate for the ~35MB of media derivatives that keep their filenames.
